Rigging a Fireball is down to personal choice
and Fireballs have certainly had many new ideas and old ones that
have come gone and returned depending on the fashion. These rigging
photos are based upon GBR14873 June 2004 Fireball supplied by Winder
Boat. The mast is a proctor Cumulus with a Proctor Boom.

Layout
The
Fireball was supplied by Winders with this layout requested. .
All controls are using "string". The main sheet uses the
single
pulley ratchet system, but can be changed to dual pulley
depending on personal preference.
The main and kicker are
cleated off using the Harken Mainsheet / kicker jammer.
The controls lines will be seen in more details throughout the
rigging section.
The Spinnaker sheets use the
Harken Ratchet block to help
reduce the loads on the Spinnaker
sheet on a windy day.
The ratchet can be turned off for
light winds.
