Old but fully functioning Fireball 13031 for sale. The boat was sailed extensively last season and at the end of last year taken to Severn Sailboats at Worcester for hull maintenance to ensure that it is both rigid and waterproof.
New Pinnel and Bax Dacron main and jib were bought in November 07, and these have been used only three times and are virtually new. Hull is fitted with glass fibre centreboard, and new centreboard gasket. There are two spinnakers and spare rudder, and centreboard.
The current rudder is fitted with a short carbon fibre tiller extension and there is also a long carbon fibre tiller extension. The trapeze wires have been renewed as has the forestay on which the jib is run.
Much of the rigging has been renewed, it is easy to achieve optimum set up for all wind conditions.
The boat is at Draycote Water Sailing club, and has a launching trolley and road trailer.
The sails cost £800 and yet I am seeking only £1000 for the boat complete.
Draycote has two classes for Fireballs and this is a boat which can easily win in its class with a good helm.

Wanted |
I have recently completed the hull & deck restoration for a 1969
'ball and am nearing completion of the other jobs. I am looking for
a used set of sails and a few other bits to get the boat on the water
for a shakedown before spending my hard earned on new canvas. I'd
like a main, spinnaker & jib, in reasonable condition, but not
necessarily race-winners (practice condition) with batons. I'm also
in the market for a couple of spinnaker bags as I've plie'd over the
spinnaker chute in favour of a Bag system.

Winner Nationals 2004 and Worlds 2005 (Teignmouth - 178 boats!), runner-up Nationals 2008, plus winner of countless open meetings. Winder Hull (fitted out to top spec by Winder) and foils, Cumulus, suit of P&Bs new for 2008 Nationals, under/over covers and combi. It's Harkened throughout and most of cordage is Vectran/Dynemma. Last time it was weighed it was bang on min weight.
The rig set-up is simple with rake adjusted by fast pins and chocks to control pre-bend. Everything is fully calibrated to replicate the 3 settings you need to win races.The boat has hardly been used, garaged when not at events and last year went back to Winders for a "12,000 mile service" and is in excellent condition for age.
Boat is currently lying just outside Tunbridge Wells. There are few boats around with such a successful racing record. Yours for £7,450.
